How to configure the Media Type in Zabbix

To receive real-time push notifications, create a new Media Type in your Zabbix server:

Step 1 · Download & Import

Download the María Assistant media type file and import it into your Zabbix server.

Download YAML

Go to Alerts > Media Types in Zabbix and click Import using this file.

Step 3 · Link the App to your User (The key step)

So Zabbix knows which phone to send alerts to, link your personal account:

Open María Assistant > Settings > API and copy your personal Token.
In Zabbix go to Users > Users and open your user profile.
Go to the Media tab and click Add.
In Type, select the Media Type you just created (María Assistant).
In Send to, paste the personal Token from the app.

Important

The Token in Step 2 authenticates the webhook server. The personal Token in Step 3 identifies your account. They are different and both are required.

María uses your Google Gemini API Key. Your monitoring data flows directly from your device to Google, never hitting our servers.

With great power comes great responsibility.

Never share your API Key. Don't publish it in repositories or screenshots. It's your key for direct access to Google AI.
